The SUPER SBS in Madrid in July 2023 was an experience I will never forget. This event, organized by the popular South Korean television network SBS, promised an epic celebration in the Spanish capital, and it certainly delivered. From the atmosphere and the people to the incredible reception of the artists, everything was filled with emotion, joy, and pure love for music.
I remember just a year earlier, in 2022, I went to the cinema to watch the SUPER SBS from 2021 in Taipei and was blown away. BTS, iKON, MAMAMOO, RED VELVET, SEVENTEEN, and VIXX had come together to put on a mega concert in the Taiwanese capital, revolutionizing everyone present. To find myself in Madrid, a year later, enjoying such an event was an overwhelming wave of happiness, as I never expected to be at a concert of this magnitude.
The venue in Madrid was filled with excited fans, all united by a shared passion. When I arrived, the atmosphere was charged with energy and happiness. It was that feeling all music fans understand; we were all there to live a unique and special moment.
When the stage lights turned on and the music started, I knew I was about to experience something special. The lineup for SUPER SBS was incredible, with some of the biggest names in K-pop ready to perform. Among the artists, we enjoyed amazing performances from groups like SHINee, ENHYPEN, IVE, ATEEZ, CRAVITY, STAYC, and Xikers.
SHINee, with their endless energy, dazzled everyone with their latest hit at the time, "HARD." ENHYPEN amazed the crowd with their choreography and charisma to the rhythm of "Bite Me," while IVE got everyone moving with their mega hits "I AM" and "Love Dive." ATEEZ overflowed with energy in each performance, especially with "BOUNCY." CRAVITY impressed with their synchronization and talent, performing to the beat of "Groovy." STAYC won us over with their charm and freshness, especially with "ASAP." And XIKERS, being one of the newest groups, left a lasting impression with their dynamic and passionate performance of "TRICKY HOUSE."
The SUPER SBS Madrid 2023 was a celebration of K-pop at its finest. I am deeply grateful to have been part of this event and to have had the opportunity to see so many talented artists in all their glory. It was an experience that reaffirmed my love for music and its unique ability to bring people together.
